My co-parenting dynamic demanded intentional communication and productive discussions, we couldn’t rely on casual conversations during dinner or bedtime anymore. Family Meetings are for all ages, if they are apart of the family they can be included. However, please take into consideration the topic and whether or not its age appropriate. Reading the cards by be difficult for anyone under 8 years old. An older family member can read the cards and support them to offer their input.

This is entirely up to the family. Some families will have quick meetings about assigning chores and others will have longer meetings about a parent relocating for work. It’s important to read the room, paying attention to when family members are tired or overwhelmed. Remember Roman wasn’t built in a day.

 Lucky you, your family has lots to talk about. You can play as many rounds as you’d like. However, each round should be dedicated to it own topic. This helps each person remain focused and respects the person who suggested the topic.
